This Privacy Policy describes how June (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the June mobile application (the “App”).

Summary

June is a private group video app. You sign in with Apple, join or create groups with friends, and share short hourly videos within those groups. We collect only what is needed to run the App. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier from Apple. Apple may also share your name and email address with us if you choose to share them.
• Profile information: Username, display name, and optional profile photo.
• Group information: Group names, invite codes, and membership.
• Content you create: Videos you record and upload, optional text overlays on videos, reactions you post, and group avatars you upload.
• Support communications: Information you send us if you contact support.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data stored on your device: The App stores some preferences locally on your device (for example, which posts you have seen and which recaps you have watched) using on-device storage. This data is not used for advertising.
• Technical data: Our backend provider may process standard server logs (such as IP address, request timestamps, and error logs) when you use the App. This is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Device permissions

The App may request access to:

• Camera and microphone — to record videos.
• Photo library — to set a profile picture and to save videos you choose to download.
• Notifications — to send local reminders on your device to post during the day. These reminders are scheduled on your device; we do not use them to send marketing messages.

You can change permissions anytime in your device Settings.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Authenticate you and keep the App secure
• Let you create groups, invite friends, and share videos within those groups
• Store and display your profile, videos, and reactions
• Send local posting reminders (if you allow notifications)
• Improve reliability, fix bugs, and prevent abuse
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

• With your group members: Videos, reactions, profile information, and group content are visible to members of the groups you join.
• Service providers: We use Supabase to host authentication, databases, and video/image storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf to operate the App.
• Apple: If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple processes your sign-in according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or backup purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate profile information in the App
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional permissions (camera, microphone, photos, notifications) in iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

June is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
